Estos ojos que te miran han sido pintados por refugiados, principalmente niños sirios, iraquíes y afganos como iniciativa propia para transmitir esperanza, contribuir a despertar conciencia y dar apoyo económico.
This eyes that look at you have been painted by refugess, mainly Syrian, Iraqi and Afghan children, as part of an iniciative to transmit hope, as a contribution to awake awarness and bring some economic support.
Este proyecto surge como iniciativa de ana cid, voluntaria en diversos campos de refugiados, tras regresar a España con la misma vergüenza por y con la que se fue de un país que no cumple con sus compromisos de acogida. Pide a refugiados de todas las edades pero mayoritariamente niños que pinten un ojo en una piedra con la intención de a través de ellos recaudar fondos y generar conciencia.
Pronto se sumaron a estas iniciativa muchas otras personas solidarias, como el grupo de RefugArt del Colegio Americano de Barcelona, niños españoles de diversos colegios, tiendas, etc
This project arises as an initiative of Ana Cid, a volunteer in various refugee camps, after returning to Spain with the same shame for and with which she left from a country that does not comply with its commitments of refugee reception. She asks refugees of all ages, but mostly children, to paint an eye on a stone with the intention of raising funds and raising awareness through them.
Soon many other supportive people joined this initiative, such as the RefugArt group of the American School of Barcelona, Spanish children from various schools, shops, etc.
CADA OJO SIMBOLIZA AL MISMO NIÑO QUE LO PINTÓ. Ese niño que ha experimentado la guerra, las carencias, la pérdida, la desescolarización, y que continúa sufriendo la falta de solidaridad. También me gustaría pensar que representa el ojo de la buena suerte y de la protección que tanto necesitan.
EACH PAINTED EYE SYMBOLIZES THAT CHILD WHO PAINTED IT. This child who has experienced war, deprivation, loss, deschooling, and who continues to suffer the lack of solidarity. I also would like to think, that respresents the eye of the good fortune and of the protection that they so badly still need.
El dinero recaudado va íntegramente a una ONG llamada “Drop in the Ocean” www.drapenihavet.no/en para que continúen con su incansable labor dando todo tipo de soporte en los campos de refugiados más necesitados.
All the money collected will be entirely donated to a ONG called "Drop in the Ocean" www.drapenihavet.no/en so that they can continue with their amazing and tireless support at the most needed refugees camps.
Te pido que si adquiriste este ojo lo coloques en un lugar público y visible para que otra persona lo encuentre. Si lo encontraste quizá te animes a colaborar adquiriendo otro en una de las tiendas o haciendo una donación.
